Silver Nanowires: Advanced material in OPV application 

ECOS Silver Nanowires in Organic PhotovoltaicSOLPROCEL (Solution Processed High Performance Organic Photovoltaic Cells, FP7-NMP-2013-SMALL-7) addresses flexible, organic and fully solution processed semi-transparent solar cells.

 

 

The main challenges for SOLPROCEL are to increase the efficiency and stability for semi-transparent organic photovoltaics, whilst ensuring low cost materials and production methods. The scientific and technological end goal of SOLPROCEL is to obtain the new nano and organic materials necessary for fully solution-processed high performance semi-transparent solar cells. Within the framework of SOLPROCEL new photovoltaic architectures and materials will be investigated to improve the efficiency and functionality of organic cells. rent a scientists´ application adapted manufacturing of silver and the development of solution processable formulations thereof are one of the centerpieces of the development.
